Dr. Anju Musafir has over 25 years of experience in innovative teaching, conducting parenting workshops and training teachers. She co-founded Ecole de Tara movement and Mahatma Gandhi International School.
Dr. Anju Kuawr Chazot has a PhD in education from King’s College, UK. She has over 25 years of experience in innovative teaching, conducting parenting workshops and training teachers. Dr. Kuawr Chazot is a published author and an award-winning educator. She has vast experience in teacher training at the national and international level, journalism, as a television presenter and script-writer for educational documentaries, conducting workshops for parents as well as giving lectures and presentations on educational issues. She is a teacher trainer and has conducted workshops and presented conferences in India, France, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Sri Lanka and Australia.
Working in partnership with the government, she co-founded Mahatma Gandhi International School, a K-12 inclusive and democratic school that uses active and experiential learning within a constructivist framework, which has been delivering quality, international quality of education to all sections of society in one of the most affordable International Baccalaureate schools in the world. The school is a precursor to the national legislation that overhauled the education system in India, the Right to Education Act. The focus of her work has been joy of learning, happiness and autonomy of the child, innovative experiential learning and hands on, experiential teacher training. Her publications include teacher manuals and textbooks for the Gujarat education board, ‘Clay Cures’, ‘Parenting Teens in Modern Times’ and academic articles. She has written more than 300 articles that used to appear weekly in the Ahmedabad Mirror, a Times of India publication and The Asian Age. She is currently writing a book on education for a leading french publisher.
